New TPH Sunday Feature on Historic Legislative Races Debuts Next Week

Beginning next Sunday we will feature one historic legislative race from the modern era of Florida politics (post 1968) each Sunday. We look forward to reader contributions as to the contests to highlight. Our first article will feature the historic 1988 State Senate Democratic Primary between Panama City Senator Dempsey Barron whose iron fist controlled the Senate and Fort Walton Beach’s Vince Bruner.

We look forward to suggestions for future races to highlight each Sunday between August 5th and November 4th.
